McGrigors is one of the UK's most dynamic legal firms. Requirement
McGrigors required an in-house HR appraisal system to replace their previous system. This system was to provide a means for employees to drive their own performance appraisal with input from their performance manager and overseen by the HR department. This system was to be Intranet based and accessible by all 500+ employees and partners.
In September 2005, this system was further enhanced to include all UK legal Trainees. Complying with the requirements of both the Law Society of Scotland and The Law Society of England and Wales this Web Based system allows McGrigors to manage their Trainees more effectively ensuring that they fully comply with all the Law Societies stringent guidelines.
Solution
Etellect are working closely with McGrigors to develop a highly flexible, intranet based HR appraisal system based on our eCMS solution. The power of our .NET solution has meant that the HR appraisal functionality could be rapidly configured for integration with our core eCMS system, ensuring McGrigors receive a powerful, modular and functional addition to their in-house intranet. The HR appraisal application provides employees with real-time access to their HR records and annual review forms. Updates to these forms are automatically monitored for any changes and email triggers are then sent to the appropriate party for action or approval.

The eCMS solution provides a powerful and scalable Intranet platform. eCMS has been developed from the ground up with the Microsoft .NET framework at its very core. eCMS enables the rapid deployment of additional business modules to support the dynamic update of content for any business activity.
