The Thales Scottish Technology Prize for laser technology and applications

Etellect has been selected to develop the competition portal to support the high profile Scottish Technology Prize.

Together with Scottish Enterprise, Thales is launching The Thales Technology Prize for laser technology and applications. This competition aims to strengthen our links with the Scottish academic community and to identify opportunities for collaborative working between Thales and Universities in Scotland.

There will be a substantial prize fund on offer to support the winner's current research, as well as smaller cash prizes for the winner and runner-up. Prizes will be awarded for the most innovative ideas for using new laser technology within the Thales business.

The competition will be open to all staff and students at Scottish Universities and the Intellectual Property in the competition entries will remain solely with the entrants.

There will be a half day launch event on the 10th of June at our offices in Glasgow. This event will provide all entrants with full details of the competition and there will be a series of briefings on our business and products.
